Overview:

Woodside on the Move’s Summer Programs are designed to boost learning, strengthen confidence, and support emotional growth. Our summer camps give kids a break from the traditional classroom while offering a safe, engaging space to:

  • Develop new skills
  • Make lasting friendships
  • Participate in creative, physical, and educational activities



Through both structured and casual activities, youth stay active, build essential life skills, and connect with peers in meaningful ways.

Past trips include the Pennings Orchard Farm, Liberty Science Center, Urban Air Trampoline Park, Area 53 Adventure Park, Center for Science Teaching and Learning, Cinemart Cinemas, Legoland Discovery Center and iFly. 

How to Enroll
  • All Summer Rising are FREE for ALL NYC residents.
  • Registration begins online through the Summer Rising portal (MySchools account)
  • If you do not have a Myschools.com please contact your school’s parent coordinator for assistance. 
  • A confirmation email will be sent by NYC Public School on application submission and results. 
  • When your child’s accepted into Woodside on the Move’s Summer Camp program, the assigned site will follow-up with a final confirmation and provide next steps.

  • Updated medical form & immunizations (from doctor’s office, no yellow cards)

FAQ's

How do we register our child for Summer Camp?

Summer Rising is free for all NYC residents. Families can register online through the MySchools Summer Rising portal using their MySchools account. If you do not have a MySchools account, please contact your child’s school parent coordinator for assistance. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from NYC Public Schools acknowledging completion, followed by another email confirming your child’s placement. Afterwards you must accept the placement offered by visiting Myschools website. Woodside on the Move staff will then follow-up with a final confirmation and provide next steps.

Can I register to multiple schools?

Yes, you can register for up to 10 schools.

What does my child’s day look like?

In the morning (Monday - Thursday from 8am-12pm) your child will engage in academics, social-emotional learning enrichment activities led by NYC Public Schools staff, followed by extended day enrichment provided by Woodside on the Move from 12pm - 5:45pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 5:45pm Friday.

Am I automatically accepted into Summer Camp if I get a confirmation email?

Does my child have to attend the whole 7 weeks of Summer Camp?

Yes. There is a strict attendance policy for students.
