HOUSING SERVICES

Overview:

Housing in Queens can be challenging, especially when tenants face sudden rent hikes, neglectful landlords, or confusing paperwork. Our Housing Services program is designed to help residents stand their ground with practical support and expert guidance. We assist with urgent housing issues such as eviction proceedings, rent overcharges, repairs and maintenance concerns, heat and hot water complaints, and housing discrimination cases.

Through case management and strong relationships with community partners we provide tenants with access to free monthly legal clinics and Know Your Rights Workshops. These services help our neighbors gain clarity, confidence, and community support.

“I retired about 14 years ago and have been receiving services at WOTM ever since. I go every two years to renew my SCRIE, and I’ve also received help when I needed repairs in my apartment. Everyone is always welcoming and ready to assist. I would definitely recommend WOTM to my friends if they need assistance.”

“Seeing WOTM was like a breath of fresh air. My Case Manager was ready to help me with all my questions and provide me with the proper guidance. Absolute #10!!!”
