SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT

Overview:

Small businesses are the heartbeat of Woodside. They create jobs, shape our neighborhoods, and bring unique character to our community. But running a business in New York City can be challenging— especially for first-time entrepreneurs and immigrant-owned shops.

Our Small Business Services (SBS) Avenue NYC Program is here to guide and uplift local businesses every step of the way. Through hands-on support, community partnerships, and creative corridor revitalization projects, we help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting or growing a business and connect with customers through modern marketing and community events.

From business workshops to public art installations and clean-ups, we’re building a commercial landscape where local businesses thrive and our community shines.

Testimonials

“Exposure has been one of our biggest challenges—more than anything, making sure people know about Woodside itself. But through initiatives like Restaurant Week, your community involvement, and the programs you’ve organized, you’ve really helped highlight our area.”

Mark Manturing, Owner, Purple Dough

“Woodside On The Move has always been thorough and successful when it comes to making a positive impact within the community. Providing helpful resources going door to door, collaborating with various types of businesses and even hosting events for all to enjoy, are just some of the wonderful things Woodside On The Move makes happen!”
