EDUCATION PROGRAMS

AFTER SCHOOL

We offer after school programs that serve approximately 800 Woodside-based students per academic year. Most children come from lower income immigrant families who need to enhance or develop academic and social skills, strengthen peer and adult relations, become more familiar with American customs in a safe and supportive environment.

The programs are held at PS 152, PS 11, PS 3 and PS 361 Monday - Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. It includes homework help, sports, music, performing arts, creative writing, health and nutrition, computers and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) activities such as a 3D Printing Program.

All academic activities are specifically designed to meet the current Common Core Standards in order to create a seamless transition between day school and after school and to offer students individualized support, based on their needs. We also offer additional programming during the school holidays, winter, mid-winter, and spring recesses.

Our summer camps are filled with fun and educational activities for all our campers; fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Our summer camp operates at PS 11, PS 152 and PS 361.
